It was beyond a full day lesson. Pietro helped me plan my ski trip from our first conversation (even suggested resort options based on my skill level), including helping me sort out lessons for the other days he would not be available and figuring out the rental/gear. He checked in with me regularly in the weeks leading up to the lesson with great attention to detail and answered all my questions promptly.

When we met in person, I could feel his passion, experience, and dedication to the sport through our conversations. He helped record many videos and take nice photos, which helped with the learning process (e.g., he pointed out what I could improve in a certain turn, why the other turn/run was better). Pietro watched me ski attentively and gave me practical, digestible advice to work on for each segment. With timely and frequent feedback throughout the day, I could see myself skiing better compared to my past videos and felt more confident. I had a good time. Thanks a lot, Pietro. Will book again.

We had a fantastic couple of days under the guidance of Pietro, exceeding all our expectations. We are a family of 4 with different levels of ski ability and Pietro was able to offer guidance for us all to improve. He was especially good with our daughter who began the week nervously. After 2 days with Pietro, she was leading us all down the slopes and across to Italy. Highly recommend and would not think twice about rebooking! Thank you again, Pietro.

Pietro is an amazing, friendly, considerate, patient and very fun instructor. Most importantly, Pietro gave my 8-year-old son so much confidence. I am astounded by how much he improved. That is 100% because of Pietro's talent for teaching.

Initially, we spent a couple of days with a ridiculously aggressive ESF instructor. This made my son hate the beginning of his first ever ski holiday. Thankfully, we had booked some time with Pietro after this bad experience. Without Pietro, I’m not sure we would have returned home with a child who is clearly in love with skiing (I expect this is now a gift for life).

He also gave me loads of advice to quickly improve my rubbish technique (as a new skier coming from a snowboarding background).

I cannot recommend Pietro enough - especially for kids and adults new to skiing. He even had a secret supply of candy for my son (and then asked my permission to offer it to him - such politeness)!!!!

I had the opportunity to ski with Pietro on several occasions during last season. From our very first communications, Pietro was very attentive in providing me with relevant information about the resort, such as which hotel to choose, what type of lift pass to buy, and a selection of restaurants that he personally reserved for me.

The lesson was perfect because he pushes you to do more and motivates you to reach your goals. He often uses videos to demonstrate the progressions and sometimes to help you understand where to improve, this is a very useful tool. Now I ski confidently on black slopes, which used to terrify me! Communication is excellent, thanks to his great English. I couldn't have chosen a better instructor for my holiday.

Excellent instructor. He pushed us to do more challenging tasks once we understood something, so we never felt stuck. This made the lesson feel productive.

We took a lesson for two people, and even though we were at different levels, Pietro ensured we both worked at our own pace. Keep in mind, it can get a bit repetitive if you're not at the same level since we stayed on the same slope together, so I recommend considering a solo lesson. Highly recommended!

Had a blast with Pietro, not only he improved me, but I went from only sticking with blue to skiing the whole mountain no matter how steep the slope, in just 4 hours. He drives your confidence, perfects your technique both live and through videography. Apart from these technical qualities, you’ll enjoy the mountains on a personal level, with all the chit-chats and the fun personality of Pietro. Definitely going to have another day when coming back to ski.

Pietro is a great coach and I’d highly recommend him.

I’m an intermediate skier who’s had many instructors before, but Pietro was outstanding in comparison for many reasons. Firstly, he was the only person to check out my gear to make sure it was suitable, making recommendations for different skis, and helping me understand how boots should feel and be tightened so my feet don’t become uncomfortable.

Secondly, he was very knowledgeable and articulate, clearly explaining any questions I had, which really demystified skiing for me. Thirdly, we didn’t do any drills with holding the poles in strange ways, as I mentioned these had never helped me. Finally, he made sure to regularly include sections where we just skied for enjoyment, helping me relax, have fun, and cool down ready for the next exercise.

During the lesson, Pietro identified some problems with my technique and gave me a few “ah ha!” moments in understanding what I should do differently. After some practice, my speed control and stability on the reds is much better.

Pietro is an all-round excellent ski instructor, who I would highly recommend. I had 5 half-days of private lessons with Pietro and he helped me progress from a mostly snowplough skier to a confident parallel skier down blue & red slopes in Cervinia.

I found that his lessons had the right focus on key fundamental technique and drills, along with clear and logical explanations on what I needed to do to self-identify and fix bad habits.

For example, other ski instructors have often just told me that "you're rushing your next turn" without further insight, but Pietro was methodical in breaking down the stages in performing a turn, and then gave clear step-by-step instruction (including video recordings of my skiing) which massively helped me achieve parallel skiing.

Apart from lessons, Pietro is also a genuinely nice person who would be happy to help with the logistics of equipment rentals and restaurant recommendations. He is also very knowledgeable and experienced with many ski resorts in Europe, which I find helpful as he gave good recommendations on which specific resorts/slopes I should tackle next for my ability level.

Pietro was everything we didn’t know we needed, and then some. Difficult to pinpoint a strength, as he has so many. We were first timers and Pietro had amazing patience. His teaching started even before we met face to face, as he guided us through everything.

He is really friendly, very adaptive to our needs, and had an amazing sense of how much to push us out of our comfort zone. He was there every step of the way, encouraging and pushing us. He did not settle for anything less than a smile on the slope.

Add his impeccable English and how friendly he is, and you get more than you would ever expect. Not only do we strongly recommend Pietro, but we are definitely going to keep learning with him. I booked Pietro through Maison Sport as the local ski school could not accommodate our specific requirements; the children would have been split up and placed into large groups. Our family group comprised very mixed ages and abilities. I booked Pietro for six full days from 10am to 3pm for those who had never skied. He taught five children daily, ages ranging from 4, 6, 8, 10, and 13, sometimes with the addition of two adults (40+ and 50+) also beginners.

I have never seen such keen, animated children who listened intensely but enjoyed the fun lessons. They couldn’t wait to get on the slope each day. Pietro was brilliant with each child, greeting them individually each morning, then doing warm-up sessions.

By mid-week, they could all use the button lifts unaided. By the end of the week, they were all skiing down green runs and touching across the bottom of a blue run. Pietro was incredible—great communication, patient, animated, and such good fun. I would highly recommend him.

It was our first time to Morzine and our first time on the slopes. Our three children (aged 13, 10, and 8) had never even put a pair of skis on. We had two four-hour lessons with Pietro. He began by showing us how to check our boots and skis, practice balancing on the skis, and telling us how to stand up if we fell over.

From there he took us on the nursery slopes. By the end of the first day, we were all skiing with confidence. Pietro was really patient, encouraged us all, and offered enough of a challenge to keep our adventurous kids on their toes, whilst also making sure us adults were keeping up! By the end of the second day, we had been down a blue run and part of a red run.

Confidence was high with the result that we were able to navigate the routes ourselves on our final day. Pietro was great with all of us. He encouraged us and gave us the confidence to challenge ourselves. The whole experience was really positive. We now all have the skiing bug! Thanks for all of your help Pietro and see you next year!

Pietro is an excellent ski instructor. Great communication skills and it was a pleasure spending the whole day with him (6 hours). My son and I only had 3 days in Chamonix and we were at very different ability levels. My son was a nervous beginner, still in snow plough, and it was my first time back skiing since Covid. Pietro really pushed my son, giving advice, encouragement and steadily building his confidence.

My son went from snow plough on green runs to parallel skiing on blues in one day. I improved my carving technique and really got the feel for taking my skiing to the next level. Pietro set us homework and is even available for questions and advice after the lesson. On days 2 and 3 we skied the whole Chamonix Brevent-Flégère mountain, covering over 120 kilometres, even skiing all the red runs together! Thanks Pietro, you really made our short ski trip something special!

Working with Pietro was the best ski coaching experience I've had. As a low-level intermediate, he was patient and able to both build my confidence and improve my skills by focusing on the most impactful changes I could make. The challenge I've had with previous coaches is they tend to focus on so many different things at once that it becomes overwhelming and you spend too much time analysing every move.

He was great at focusing on one thing with a couple of secondary elements, practicing that a few times to build confidence and hone technique, then just a general ski run to enjoy the improved capability. With his approach, I was able to significantly improve my skills in a short time and then coach others during the rest of our weekend. When I'm in the region again, I will absolutely hire Pietro again.

Getting ready for my ski lesson and fell down the stairs breaking my foot, not the best start! Pietro was amazing, he drove to our apartment and took me to the medical centre and waited with me until I was seen by a doctor. So my lesson will have to wait until January 2024.

Two sons have not stopped raving about their lesson with Pietro. They have been skiing since 4 years old (now 25 and 29) and with one lesson they have the confidence to ski blacks and even went off piste. To say they are thrilled is an understatement, they could not compliment Pietro enough, apparently he is awesome and the best teacher ever. Having not had a lesson for 15-20 years, it just shows what one lesson with the best instructor can make.

Excellent teacher! We had our daughters and friends visiting and had booked ski classes as all had not been skiing for some time and wanted to feel comfortable again on skis. Pietro was very responsive and communication ahead of the first class was super easy. During the classes he could flexibly adapt to the different needs and capabilities; and they all made a lot of progress. Pietro also showed them different ski areas, which they liked a lot. We will certainly try to book time with Pietro again when we are back in the area.

Pietro joined me, my husband and two of our daughters (14 and 12) for 2 mornings. He was friendly, engaging, perceptive of our needs and an excellent communicator (fluent English). While we can all ski similar slopes, our skiing abilities vary. Pietro provided individual feedback and tips to improve our skiing. We had a very successful 2 days, which improved our skiing and made the rest of the week more enjoyable for all of us. Pietro was an excellent teacher and really enjoyable to be with over our 3 day visit to Chamonix.. and Courmayeur. He looked after every aspect of our ski day from working out the best place to ski - taking in to account weather and how busy it might be. Taught us how to go from snow plough to parallel in one day. Day 2 we were going down red runs and doing jumps. His English was really good as he made the lessons over 2 mornings really good fun.

Best ski lesson ever! Pietro is truly one of a kind. He took me and my son (who are basically beginners) and by the end of the second day, my son was able to ski from the top of the mountain range in Cervinia down to the bottom on some very difficult reds. While many ski instructors may have technical expertise, it takes a truly special instructor to be able to impart that knowledge to others. And Pietro went above and beyond merely imparting his skills; his passion for skiing was inspirational and infectious. Cannot say enough good things about Pietro. From the minute we started until we finished, he was positive, friendly and good fun. We were total beginners but he very quickly helped us understand exactly what we needed to do to progress. He pushed us as soon as he saw the progress so the lesson was incredibly productive. Pietro was amazing even before we arrived on the slopes! He was in regular what’s app contact with us, answering any questions we may have. Pietro was an amazing instructor, especially for our children (16 & 11). He was a fantastic support and guide, he helped us more than what we expected, he gave us lists of restaurants and booked for us wherever we chose to go, offered to help with ski passes to ensure all was cost effective, chose the right slopes and progress to help with the children’s development... they took to him really well... and so did we.

We also took lessons with him, and he accommodated us as a family! I would definitely ask him again the next time we are skiing!... so lucky to have found him! Geeta booked a total of 8 hours with Pietro.

Pietro is an inspirational instructor for both of my boys, aged 9 and 6, who enjoyed every minute of the time they skied with him. He looked after both of them extremely well and taught my younger son how to ski in just a matter of hours. Pietro also helped me with my techniques, even as an advanced/experienced skier. I highly recommend Pietro for all levels of skiers as he has the ability to acceleration the speed at which you and your children will learn. Ted booked a total of 9 hours with Pietro.

Hey Pietro,
I just wanted to thank you once again for all you did for us and the Blyth’s this last week. Your patience, professionalism, good humor, tips and ability to deal with our various children was fantastic. Alice has you to thank for re-establishing her confidence in skiing and Christo and particularly Sandy have you to thank for really teaching them to ski. Sandy is now obsessed.

I had a fabulous lesson with Pietro in La Thuile. My request was to gain confidence, ski in control and to have fun. Pietro delivered all of that (despite near zero visibility at times) and I could really appreciate the benefits of 1:1 coaching. I was sad when the lesson was over! My boyfriend came along for a freebie guide, adamant that he didn't want any coaching, but Pietro was so good that David was soon converted and picking up a few tips. Pietro helped me to go from no skiing ability to being fully confident on a beginners'slope within just a couple of short lessons. He is a multi-faceted person, not "just" a skiing instructor and I felt completely comfortable spending time with him - he put me at my ease. He was able to explain very clearly what I should do and was encouraging when I got it right. The most important thing to know about Pietro is that he is a genuinely warm, friendly person. Pietro was really helpful before the lessons started requesting information about what we wanted from the ski lessons/ our experience and sharing some tips for our first day of skiing at Cervinia.

Pietro made sure we got the absolute maximum value from our lesson time, always patient, encouraging us to move out of our comfort zone and we have really made great progress in our 3 half day lessons. On the final day it was a lot more windy than forecast and there was a possibility that the lifts in Cervinia might not open at all.

Pietro waited for local information, offered to meet us in Valtournenche and despite starting the lesson an hour late we still had our full 4 hours. We highly recommend Pietro. Sarah booked a total of 12 hours with Pietro.

We just had a wonderful few days of lessons with Pietro and would recommend him without any hesitation at all to anyone looking to improve their skiing and have loads of fun at the same time! Our 7-year-old son had 4-hour lessons with Pietro on 3 consecutive mornings and my husband and I alternated lessons with Pietro in the afternoons. We all improved enormously and had a brilliant time whilst doing so! Pietro was completely professional - he communicated with me prior to the first day to make sure that everything was clear re the meeting point/our level of skiing/any requests we had for the lessons. He was always punctual.

Pietro is a brilliant teacher: my husband and I both felt we had made improvements from our limited time with Pietro and our son made massive strides, going from a cautious, rather scared skier to someone who can now ski with confidence and absolutely loves it - a really huge turnaround. Pietro speaks excellent English and is just a really lovely person who is brilliant with children. He was a complete delight to deal with and to learn from. We will definitely book him again. Pietro is one of life’s genuinely nice people, he has an amazing passion (and talent) for skiing and goes out of his way to make you feel comfortable whilst ensuring you are being pushed to the next level and improving technically.

We were a group of 4 adults of slightly differing levels and he managed to take time to focus on each of us individually whilst making sure everyone was still progressing (and skiing) rather than just hanging around waiting (as we have experienced with other instructors/group lessons in the past).

His unwavering passion to help you improve as a skier whilst still maintaining the fun is outstanding and as a group, we all completely agreed that these have been the best 4 days skiing we have ever had. I first contacted Pietro a few days before I was due to arrive in Courmayeur with my 7-year-old son. His communication skills are absolutely brilliant and extremely quick. I booked a 4-hour session with him to show us around the resort as well as refining our skiing techniques. Top class instructor, wonderful English spoken and, in my opinion, we will definitely use again when we visit next year. 5 Star service. Don’t delay book Pietro today. Pietro was very communicative from the outset and on the first day took us from our hotel to rent our skis and buy our lift passes. My son loved being taught by Pietro he is a shy boy who we would have struggled to leave with a complete stranger but on day 2 he just went off no problem, and progressed more quickly than we could ever imagine. He also split his time and gave my wife a couple of lessons she went from a complete beginner to being able to go down a blue run in just 2 hours. Pietro is a fantastic instructor with a friendly manner & heaps of experience. I am a nervous skier and Pietro has definitely improved my confidence and my ability over the last few years. He has also been able to challenge my competent ski friends giving them the best experience the mountain has to offer as well as being incredibly patient with the kids! We would definitely book Pietro every year but be quick as he’s in demand!

We have used Pietro for since 2014. He has been an excellent instructor for our children, always patient, kind and fun. They love him. He has also taught me over the years and has offered invaluable advice. We wouldn't use anyone else. He has a particular flair for teaching children. They look forward to seeing him all year! I would recommend him to anyone looking for an excellent instructor who also understands how to make skiing fun for children.
