Where does it take place?
Heliskiing in Cervinia happens in a spectacular setting: right in front of the Matterhorn, in the heart of the Alps. The area is also connected with Zermatt (Switzerland) and Valtournenche, offering many possibilities for long, panoramic runs on powder snow.

Here is a selection of heliskiing itineraries in Cervinia:
1. Roisette – Descent on Cheneil or Maën
Panoramic descent with a view of Monte Rosa, crossing the scenic Cheneil basin. Possibility to extend the descent to Maën, passing through woods and alpine villages.
2. Château des Dames – Descent on Blue Lake
Thanks to the north exposure, it offers consistent powder snow. Classic descent, highly appreciated also by snowboarders.
3. Colle del Breuil – Descent to Cervinia
Start at the foot of the Matterhorn, passing by the Oriondé Hut and the Cherillon and Montabel glaciers, ending on the Cervinia cross-country track.
4. Verra Glacier – Descent to Piani di Verra or Champoluc
Spectacular descent between Polluce and Castore, passing the Lambronecca and Mezzalama huts, with the possibility to continue to Champoluc.
5. Porta Nera – Descent to Furi (Zermatt)
Magnificent descent on the Monte Rosa massif, crossing the Schwarzegletscher and Gornergletscher glaciers, arriving at Furi in Switzerland.
6. Monte Rosa – Descent to Zermatt
About 16 km descent along one of Europe’s most spectacular glaciers, returning to Cervinia via Swiss lifts.
7. Dôme de Tsan – Descent to Lake Cignana
Wild descent through the Tsan and Roisette glaciers, arriving at Lake Cignana. Possibility of further descents in the area.
8. Colle del Lys – Descent to Gressoney or Champoluc
Spectacular and demanding route, among crevasses, glaciers, and slope changes. Good technique and management on variable snow required.
9. Silbersattel – Descent to Zermatt
Challenging descent with technical glacier sections, requiring experience and excellent physical preparation.
10. Tête de Valpelline – Descent to Glacier d’Arolla
One of the most isolated and complete descents, through glaciers and wide valleys, wild landscape totally off the ski-lift context.
11. Colle del Teodulo – Descent towards Val d’Ayas
Smooth and wide lines in the first part, with possible variants. Excellent panoramic descent with new perspectives on the Matterhorn.
12. Rocce Nere – Descent to Saint-Jacques
Wide channels in the upper part, then technical wooded sections in the lower part. A very beautiful line especially in early spring, with transformed and stable snow.
